Flattened segmented stems with pointed, claw-like projections along the segment margins and squared-off segment ends; flowers are asymmetrical and held more horizontally, typically blooming in late fall
Bud and flower drop are commonly triggered by sudden changes in temperature, light, or location rather than a single clear cause - consider recent relocation alongside watering and light. Segment drop can also follow moisture stress or environmental change. Wrinkled segments point toward dehydration, but check root condition before assuming underwatering, since impaired roots can produce the same symptom.
