How to identify it
Flattened segmented stems with rounded or scalloped segment margins, lacking the pointed teeth of Thanksgiving cactus; mature stems arch downward and flowers hang more downward than Thanksgiving cactus flowers
Older plants commonly develop woody basal stems - this is a normal sign of maturity, not a problem. Bud drop is commonly triggered by sudden changes in temperature, light, or location. Don't diagnose wrinkled segments as simple underwatering without also checking root condition.
