How to identify it
Unlike antler-forked staghorns, the fertile fronds are broad, large, and mostly unbranched, hanging or spreading like elephant ears above rounded shield fronds.
Epiphytic fern with broad unbranched fertile fronds; crown and shield fronds must stay airy.

Care guide
Light
Bright indirect light. Direct sun: Gentle early sun may be tolerated; avoid intense hot midday sun.
Water
Water thoroughly when the mounting medium or basket approaches dry, then allow excellent drainage and airflow; do not keep the crown packed in wet soil.
Soil / substrate
Mount with sphagnum/bark or use an extremely airy epiphytic fern basket mix; never bury the shield/crown in dense soil.
Humidity
Moderate humidity is helpful with strong airflow.
Support / growth
Mount to a board or grow in an open basket that supports the expanding shield fronds.
